Veggie dogs on the menu tonight! Back when I ate meat (about 10 years ago) I loved a good hotdog like pretty much everyone. It was one of the few things I missed when I became a vegetarian, until I got hooked on veggie dogs! I’ve tried a few different brands and I’ve found my favorite to be SmartDogs (these are the jumbo variety). Throw them on the grill in a whole wheat bun and you’ve got a great fast meal that tastes good and is good for you!
The jumbo veggie dog has 80 calories, 1 gram of fat, no cholesterol and 15 grams of protein. Pretty great substitution right? Top with your favorite condiments and you may not even notice it’s not real meat 🙂

More corn on the cob! Love love loveeeeeee. A simple tomato, cucumber and basil salad on the side. Tossed with olive oil, red wine vinegar and plenty of s&p.
