I spent the day at the beach today where I got a little too much sun. I always think my olive complexion shields me from burns but man am I wrong! I will smarten up and lather myself in sunscreen next time! This weeks farm share consisted of zucchini, greens and scallions (among a few other things that I haven’t used yet). Tossed in my wok with garlic, chinese five spice, soy sauce, carrots, celery and tofu and this asian inspired delight was ready in just minutes!
I served over rice noodles that I lightly tossed with a teaspoon of sesame oil so they wouldn’t stick together. I’ve never made the same stir fry twice. Get creative! You really can’t mess these up I swear! I had never cooked with chinese five spice and it’s been sitting in my cupboard for a couple months waiting to be used. It added a great layer of flavor!
Shown here with chop sticks that only lasted a couple bites… too tough with the long noodles!
